English IV AP    1st, 8th, and 9th periods  
Monday
Students will begin working on AP Exam. You will not be taking this with you. You can only work on this in class.
Students will work on questions 1-21.
Tuesday
Students will work on questions 22-44.
Wednesday
Students will work on questions 45-55.
Thursday
Students will work on essay number three. Students will select the novel, Siddhartha, as the novel they’ll use to write for the prompt.

English IV Regular   2nd Period  
Monday
Students will read Roald Dahl’s short story “Royal Jelly”
Students will read the story and answer questions 1-15 on a separate sheet of paper
Tuesday
Students will continue working with Roald Dahl’s short story “Royal Jelly”
They will answer questions 16-30 on a separate
Wednesday
Students will work on Vocabulary Worksheet
Students will work on Vocabulary Worksheet
Thursday
Mr. Cantu will speak to the class about financial literacy, life in business (the positives and the challenges), and also about life after high school.

Journalism 3rd Period
Monday
Students will continue either working on a scholarship or their blog. They should be on their 7th article.
Tuesday
Students will continue either working on a scholarship or their blog. They should finish their 7th article.
Wednesday
Students will read and answer questions on Journalism article.
Thursday
Mr. Cantu will speak to the class about financial literacy, life in business (the positives and the challenges), and also about life after high school.

College Preparedness 6th Period
Using chrome books and the internet, have students research and write about the following:
Monday: How is high school writing different from college writing? Students must use a minimum of three articles academic articles that discuss this question and write 250-300 word response over it.

Tuesday: What can high school students do to prepare for college-level reading and writing? Students must use a minimum of two academic articles that discuss this question and write 250-300 word response over it.
Wednesday: Students will research the manner in which colleges help students with their writing. Students will research what university writing centers are, who uses them, and how they help college students succeed. Students must use a minimum of two articles that discuss this question and write 250-300 word response over it.
Thursday
Mr. Cantu will speak to the class about financial literacy, life in business (the positives and the challenges), and also about life after high school.
